Wow! What an amazing day we had on Lihou Island yesterday for the Lihou Winter Arts Festival. 250 people joined us for a myriad of arts activities, explored the island and generally had a wonderful day out. We were blessed with dry weather, slight winds and even a bit of sun which meant that we could really make the most of the beautiful surroundings with many activities taking place outside. It was great to see everyone walking back to Guernsey proudly carrying their creations and with beaming smiles on their faces.
We were overwhelmed with the comments that so many people gave to us on the day. Here’s just a few:
It’s now Sunday evening and I just wanted to say what a fantastic job you and your colleagues at the Arts Commission did today. Everyone who chatted to me going back over the causeway had a terrific time. – Stella
Just a quick note to thank you and your colleagues for a truly wonderful event today. We did the Flagmaking and Storytelling workshops and thoroughly enjoyed both.
